Things gamers are sick of hearing

Like being asked to do something while you're playing online...

Do you know I can't pause? Is this a sadistic joke, or what?

Or drinking and partying the whole weekend.

Yeah that's the whole "You have to socialize to validate your existence" theory - whatever hey. I go out with my friends two or three times a month - thats enough for me.

With the point I made - I get that a lot and from totally straight faces. Fine you want to sit and veg and gape at a TV for hours on end, but it's somehow a problem if I spend two hours playing a game, using my brain, getting involved and so on.

The irony is that I've seen people that react that way from just playing golf. In high school one of my golfing partners broke half his clubs in a frantic rage after missing a green.

The reactions above is not associated with gaming it is a human condition.

The guy in the greatest freakout video does look like he is possessed by a demon though!

I think the people in those videos had something wrong with them way before games came along.
I mean it's human nature to become frustrated at anything - but then you get those people.

The greatest freakout video was staged. He's put out other ones, specifically the one where he had his grandmother in on it. Sure, he does a good job acting, but the grandmother gives it away that she was in on it with her bad acting...

I am sure a teenage child can react like that if just left to their own devices. My 3 year old daughter once reacted like that after she did not get her way. It took me over an hour in the bathroom with her to break her will. During that hour she assaulted me by biting me (sounds horrendous).

Now I only look at her when she is naughty and she behaves. Some parents will avoid conflict described above and then you just know that child is going to grow up being a law onto themselves!

That is one of the scary things in our country with so many children growing up without parental guidance or any discipline. Just imagine how they will be as an adult.

You know they say taxi drivers do not have mothers, it might be true :)

LOL THIS!
Question: "why are you so boring"
Answer: uhm, when I do what you do for fun that is in turn boring as hell to the point that I would take a butter knife to the wrists(ok that statement does not help the gamer violent tendencies case)

So please... to each their own, don't decide for others that your preference is more fun.

I thank you. Was that a little internal rage? Apple iDunno.

Something tells me you've had this argument more than once before.:P

In fact, I think that online gaming gives you a lot of exposure to that said frustration and teaching you how to deal with it just as well as anything else in life that causes frustration :D
