Thought of more work for myself

So I'm sitting and thinking what else I could spend my time on at home, and I realised the following:

I'm sitting with a PC that has no see-through window on the side panel and I have a dremmel rotary tool AND some perspex in the garage!

So now I'm thinking, what awesome mod could I do to my PC's side panel.

I'm thinking of cutting the Asus ROG logo on the side panel and then adding a blue cold-cathode for some lighting. What do you guys think? What mods have you done to your PC cases?

Sounds cool.

I've made no mods. Don't have the proper tools. But I do wanna cut a bunch of holes in the side for atleast 9 12cm fans.

A 1000W PSU should be fine, hell, its the thing causing all the heating issues in the 1st place. I can bake frikken cookies in there if I wanted.

Another smaller mod maybe is to repaint my keyboad, but instead of just painting, I wanna etch out the letters so they don't wear away again.

you putting in another psu to handle all those fans?
Yeah, that +CPU fan +GFX fan +HDDs all spinning up at the same time could be an issue.

Perhaps one could delay some of them for a few sec. No idea how one would do that electronics wise though.

what you can do is buy a surfing mag and take a billabong sticker and paste it on your sidepanel

MOD of DED.

Well...I'm going to start my epic mod tonight and I'll post some pics of the "before" and "after" work. I was thinking of either cutting the Intel or Nvidia logo's into my side panel and having them lit up using a blue cold-cathode, but that would be non-functional. It would look great I think but the idea of a clear side panel is to see what's going on inside the chassis without having to open up the thing.

Or just leave the panel off and you can also see?

So then your cooling goes out the window because your airflow is non-existent and you'll also get so much dust into your chassis that the PC will last about a month if it's lucky.

Dude - you're one of those people that buys something and NEVER even thinks of changing something on it, aren't you? Example: your car is dead stock-standard, it still has steel rims because it didn't come with mags, you'll never put mags on.

And you are probably one of those tappits who will zef up his car, just so that he can say he is the kiefest? What's your point?

Yes, I don't overclock my machine. I might put an extra fan or two in for extra cooling, but I don't believe in overclocking. So your CPu is running at 4Ghz plus, but will only do so for a year or two before it eventually kaks. Mine will run at stock speed for 3-4 years, playing anything you can play at practically the same results, before I retire and upgrade. Also, if you don't overclock it ti within an inch of it's life, airflow wouldn't be the be all and end all of your PC. Another thing, if you CPU kaks now, it ain't covered by warranty, so good luck with that. Each to his own.

All that aside, you are now simply being an ass and trying to make a scene because I called you out on what a couple of other people were also thinking, but just hadn't done so first. Relax and get over it already. Yes, you probably have the biggest/fastest/nicest PC here, but then again maybe you don't. Either way, in my opinion it is very nice rig and I really hope you enjoy it to its fullest. Just please don't become another Raven Gold. It's not pretty! :p
