Do u need to download all the patches or just the latest one?

1.41 is a full patch (550MB) - the rest are all just incremental. So no, you only need 1.41.

The highway Tampa map you might need when playing on the jet server, but I've never bothered with it as I'm hardly ever on there - mostly just IO and Urban II (.28)

BF2142 is a standalone game - strictly not related to BF2.

I dont have the game personally, but I'm sure you have to get patch 1.50.

Shout if you need help dude ... there's lots of little things to learn in BF2 that is not normal to usual FPS, but simple to grasp.

I still remember my 1st time playing it with the lads at webAfrica during lans - they said I was on the blue team and American - so I have to shoot all the red chinese okes...granted. Next game, I'm chinese ... so naturally I reckon I'm on the red team and start shooting all the blue okes

NOTE TO SELF: You're ALWAYS blue ... enemy is ALWAYS red.

I know bf2142 us a game on its own and its at patch 1.5, so downloading that and the bf2 1.41 one. Like i said before, ive always thought BF2 very hardcore so it intimidated me a bit but at R99 i just couldn't say no any longer. As for bf 2142. I know its not as good as bf 2 but the sci theme interests me.
