hey what speeds does one get on GSM/GPRS?

64k, just a bit higher than 56k analogue.

But these days it is pretty bad, even worse than 56k sometimes due to the wireless / reception component.

You will be lucky to get 6-8k speeds, most likely 3-4k. :missing sick smiley:

yeah well they said pretty soon, as they have also said that we got DSL

then No wqe didn't. then we had DSL again, then erm no we Didn't.

and apparantly now we are in the rollout process of 2009.

So I expect DSL by Call of duty 15 or 16

You will have shitty lag the entire time. (and when it doesn't lag it will spike) rather just get a 384 adsl line.

Can't get adsl in my complex.

Friend of mine uses iBurst for WoW...average of 450-500ms. No disconnects.

I'd say go for it if you can't get ADSL

I have a friend that playes War3 online with iburst, and it doesn't look that bad... laggy...

Try and trial iBurst first for your area. If they want your business they won't have a problem with testing first.
Some people say it is shit, others swear by it.
