ah ok, so you've never made it then .......... dead simple really. Just use any old bread dough recipe, cut into required sizes, put on tray in a warm oven to rise a bit (10-15 minutes) and deep fry the buggers ..... they go pretty quickish. Then it's all about the fillings .... curried veg, savoury mince, apricot jam or fig jam, etc :D

*drools*

Give me measurements!!! I want to make a looooot! :D

well any recipe is gonna tell you how much that particular recipe will yield ......so if it looks like it's only gonna make a small loaf, for example, then double the recipe ;) If you treble a recipe the worst thing that can happen is you end up with way too much bread dough ... which is fine because you take what you need for the vetkoek and use the leftover to bake a loaf of bread :D

haha... Yeah, but SU throws royal tantrum when I make a mess :p Eh well... so far so good... Will let you know how it turns out :3

Thanks again :3

I hope it turns out awesome :D

I gots teh dough done!!!

Now what? ^.^

just don't forget to let it rise like I chooned, and then just put oil in pot and let it get blerry hot and pop them in ..... I'd say if you're doing breadroll sized ones, probably 3 or 4 mins per side? As soon as they're cooked and slightly cooled, open them up and bung in your filling of choice :D

it's got nothing on homemade though ...... we've bought it a few times for convenience (especially with visitors coming) and have been disappointed every time. It's just not the real thing.
