Yeah I saw the trilogy but not sure maybe going to wait for the new one coming feb. Not sure if this tactical combat is for me... The last one I played was tom clancy's raven shield.

Splinter Cell is actually really enjoyably addictive :) You can't really go wrong with it, unless that kind of game is entirely not what you enjoy.

/has a norty idea and checks his cap
 
thats not really anything like splintercell, splintercell is more like a modern version of assassins creed. quite a bit of sci-fi and alot of implausible.
 
/Day Dreams of the day we will see Final Fantasy with DX11 and physix for pc online/single player.

Well I have never really tried the splinter cell series, I just never got exited over it.
 
When is someone bringing out something like commando's.

My best so far was 4 mission that I completed and kept going back to see if I can't finish the rest.

I own Final Fantasy VIII for the PC. I wish I could get my hands on VII... I've loved every FF from I through to VIII. I've never played IX. X & X-2 were tragic. FF XI is online for PC and console. FF XII was beautiful, but felt completely detached from the kind of FF game I grew to love, but it was still good. And FF XIII looks absolutely gorgeous. I hope to have PS3 (again) by the time it comes out.

To be honest, the series has never really had a big fan base, and I think most people expect the typical FPS when they hear about it. But I genuinely enjoyed it. It's fun :) Granted, I'm thinking back to the first game - I haven't played any of the new ones - and back then my PC was pitiful.

I see Take2 has the Exclusive of the trilogy for R86 (R106 including shipping), which isn't baaad... But I hate seeing that cheap shit in my cupboard. I want originals, damnit :(

Commandos... There's a game that infuriated the bejebus out of me. I could NEVER get past the third or so mission... :(

And Steam to the rescue for Splinter Cell :p Is better than that gawdawful eXclusive crap :p

I could never get past the 3rd stage in commandos 2 :( I'm just not very good at games that need you tofigure the single solitary method of getting things done. the commandos FPS was great however. (4h game I think?) would have liked to see more than 3 classes though.

Can't afford enough bandwidth to download my games so I have to stick to those exclusives :o
