guys, what's the difference between adobe reader 9 and adobe air?

air is a trademark of Nike. so is just do it, wich has nothing to do with Adobe.

the reason I am asking is that I am frustrated with my lappy being so damn bloody slow. and I want to remove unnecessary programs. and try and run a defrag to see if it'll improve speed

Adobe is a resource hog .... kill it and get Foxit Reader

download spybot. Immunize pc, scan, fix, reboot

Start->Run->msconfig->STartup

Remove all startup crap you dont need.

you should also take a screenie of your Windows Task Manager (ctr+alt+del) so we can advise on other resource hogs

problem is, I don't know which of the programs not to delete. If it was up to me, I would delete all the stuff I don't use. But I know some games has to have adobe to work properly. But is it really necessary to have:

adobe reader 9
adobe flash player 10 plugin
adobe flash player 10 activex
adobe air

??

press CTRL-ALT-DEL, click on processes.

press Printscreen on your keyboard

Click start, Programs, accesories, Paint.

Click edit, Click paste.

Save as xxxxx.jpg

Upload.

and then something else that is weird: if I open add/remove programs, there's 10 programs

and then this weird blackness sometimes making a pattern with diff colours, and then going black again. and it is REALLY long. and then the rest of the programs on my lappy.

I know this is not supposed to be like this. any idea what caused it and how to fix the prob?
