Should probably make a new thread for this, but...
I've narrowed it done to either my mobo (that ocassionally doesn't get past the mobo name screen (when it does the POST check), or my 8800
If I turn it on (with my 8800 connected) there are artifacts on the screen through the boot process, and it BSOD's when loading both Windows XP or Windows 7... it works in safe mode for about 5min. I've taken the card out, cleaned the pci-e slot, cleaned the card, and plugged it back in... same problem. Its not overheating, and my pc works fine with the onboard vga.
The mobo is a piece of crap winfast board, which needs to be replaced anyway
Gonna see what happens this evening when I try my gfx card in my brothers pc

Could be your PCI-E slot acting up.
in your bios, make sure PCI-E Spread spectrum is turned off, and lower the MHZ of your pci slot. Usually its 100MHZ, make it something like 80.
