Shaped data comes in only one shape, like a square or circle where as unshaped you can expect anything from triangles to octagons even heart shapes. Hope that helps.

From what I know shaped access is throttled at a certain limit. So for instance if a line is shaped to 40Kb/s then you won't be able to download faster than that. Unshaped allows you to download at the maximum speed capable.
