living with the parent / family / friends is the best way to go these days ......... shit is expensive so if the load can be carried, nothing wrong.

You may be rent free but you have no internet!:p

Any of you use Neotel for internet? Especially gaming? Is it anygood?

Sharkbait says u must not go for Neotel when it comes to gaming he said its not stable enough yet.... i asked him this a while ago as i was gonna upgrade to neotel purely for gaming.... and he like freaked out :p

Theres fsck all atm... No coverage by Neotel, 3g doesn't want to find a network...

Looking at all possible options atm (perhaps looking at getting a few serious boosters for coverage)

/fingers crossed

So I was gonna ask you Syco ...... what is the Vaalie market like property wise for that price range? Is that like for a flat or what?

Ja well its not bad considering if you check gumtree there are awesome places with decent prices u kno and becoz im in the northern suburbs its like easy for me to choose and there are more to choose from :)

Bad reception or what?

Yep, that and a host of other reasons ..... they move the coverage, they suffer from an overload of subscribers already, the device busts easily ....... my biggest gripe was that despite being in 'Excellent' coverage, I've never gotten more than 2 bars out of 4 and never gotten speeds above about 30kbps .... the average is about 5kbps.

I'm with Neotel and at the moment things aren't too bad. I'm pretty close to the tower which is probably why. My latency in WoW averages between 350ms-650ms with the odd spikes leaping to 1000ms. For local gaming I'd say stay away....average lat is about 150ms-300ms.

I def wont be going to them. I had 3g in the uk and suffered from the same issue. For now ill stick to land lines. Thx Guyz.

And I suppose you don't really need a sprawling pad yet either ........ my criteria was - pool + granny flat + double garage + minimum 3 bedrooms + beeg garden ..... so the price range was way up there :o
