Tackler

Moving into my cruiser would mean, bigger guns, stronger ship, more combat options... which would also mean about 2months of training before I'm confident to fly it

Ok The Tackler sounds like a pirate type deal but i see potential for it to be used in other ventures also. If you have a couple of tacklers while escorting a cargo shit and your attacked the tacklers can buy time while the cargo ship makes a get away.

If the cruiser slow?

Put it this way... 3 skilled tackler pilots can take down a battlecruiser

Most cruisers are slower than say a Destroyer/Frigate due to their size...Without overdrive injectors/microwarp drives/afterburners, my cruiser moves at 170m/s... with an Afterburner and Overdrive Injector, I move at 955m/s, my frigate - thats been custom fitted for getting away moves at 1215m/s

So its slow then. But the slowness is made up for by formidable firepower correct?
What do you do for money OC? Trader, Merc, Pirate?

yeah firepower makes up for its slowness - being able to equip larger guns, stronger shields etc..

I tend to stick with either farming wrecks in Deadspace complexes (similar to an instance in WoW), or mission running

Farming wrecks? Like finding abandoned ships and hauling them back to civilization?

One thing i dont get, what happens when you log off? Where does your ship go?

Wrecks are ships that have been destroyed and looted already... I have started salvaging ;) Making a couple mil per run :p

You can either log-off in space, and when you log back in, you'll be in the same place... Or you can log off in a station where you're safer

Sounds like good money. So im guessing you cruiser has a larger cargo hold in which to store loot. As a early way of making money savaging sounds fine. I remember in freelancer i use to buy stock cheap at one startion than do a suicide run though hostile space to get to a station or planet where i could sell for a nice profit.

Yeah, my cruiser has a bigger cargo hold, and more space for more salvager beams... what most players tend to do is, clear out the deadspace complex with 1 ship, head back to the station, climb into their larger ship and salvage everything - a friend uses a battlecruiser for that... he can go through 60 wrecks in 5min, my current frigate goes through 3 wrecks in 5 min :o Most players don't use salvagers... so theres more wrecks for me  I can spend 2-3 hours salvaging, and haul back 20mil worth of junk
