Is it possible for someones wifi signal to interfere with your own? My connection to the router keeps dropping all the time now. I googled the device and lots of people have problems so I guess it's the device. Never buying D-link again.

Yip it is possible. If there is another router nearby using the same channel then it will mess with the signal. Try changing the channel you are using if you can.

we've been having the same wifi problems at home. thought it was just cause it's a shitty router cause the LAN copy speed is terrible as well

Ah yes, shitty routers are the worst. When god killed my modem a few weeks back I was using a old Netgear, drove me NUTS. Went and bought a Asus and loving it.

we got one of THESE. copy speed varies between 100kb/s and 1.5mb/s. at one stage I got up to 5-8mb/s. that was a good day...

Just referring to a trend. Serious discussion starts--> Similar and different interesting opinions are shared--> 1 or more people derail out of ignorance or indifference or pure stupidity--> insults ensue
