Someone explain this to me. The South African Currency is in a freefall (Currently over R14 to the pound) so why the fuck has the airfare there stayed the same? Should it not have become cheaper?

Why would airfare been influenced by currency... price of brent crude etc might effect it but the costs the airline has to travel to SA doesnt change according to our currency !

Airport Tax. SA has some of the highest airport tax in the word. Figured if the knock a bit of the price. I can fucking fly to Perth for the same price as flying to crappy old SA.
