Everyone, today's task is to make Murph laugh.

Why?

Because evil and hilarious, that's why!

Why would you do that? :(

LOL Murph

Oh I finally got the whatsapp :P

New phone ftw, S4 mini, a not so mini phone really. Loving it, just miss the led notifications. Otherwise a blerry nice little phone. Just sad that I now have no tablet, the one I won, is having issues with the headphone jack, so I took it in for repairs. . .

What are you LOLLING at ? :P

*edit*

It could be worse. It's hard to imagine, I know, but imagine having a shooting competition early in the morning, after a night of HEAVY drinking. So, massively hung-over, with very loud noises going off repeatedly, right next to you.

Fun.

That's a beer-filled chicken, not a beer-filled braai.

But it does look astoundingly delicious!

Don't dis da bird. It's still a braai, even if it is a veggie. I mean, have you seen the price of steak?

Edit: OK, I'll admit that the pic I posted features the bird in an oven. But you CAN do it on a fire.

I visited one of my Dutch friends in Amsterdam and she said that she's a vegetarian. time. She was in SA about 10 years ago and at a braai, she asked what the vegetarian option was and the dude tuned here that there's chicken and fish for vegetarians.

I have seen the price of steak. It's why I go hunting. :p

And I love chicken as much as the next African, okay.

But I maintain, that is still not the same as a beer-filled braai. I wonder, though, if you put a few cans of beer in those metal drip trays, in the Weber, and lit the fire around it, what effect it would have on the flavour of the meat above the beer.

That Beer in the chicken bum is amazingly delicious! Never thought to try put a few cans at the bottom of the braai... Should be a similar concept though... I just wonder if it would flavor the meat, or just be a waste of good beer... With the chicken its pretty much IN the chicken...

Speaking of beer and braai's, I know a good way to make pot bread (no not that kind). Mix one can of beer into 500g (one little bag worth) of self raising flour and add a sachet of brown onion soup, and mix it it into dough and knead it for a few minutes and then put it in a potjie pot and flatten the top, leave it to rest a bit, then put the pot on the fire. Not too much coal, but you can put a few coals on the lid for all round heat. I think it takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Very lekker
