its an argument about 2 schitte Need for speed games, if that particular genre was any good then EA would still be making it, it wasnt thats why there where only 2 games, but apparently thats too hard and complicated to understand.

I know, I'm reading the thread. I enjoyed those 2 games but they weren't about racing but racing to rice. The last decent racing game (pc) IMO was the first Grid, I also loved shift but then shift 2 lost it.

grid 1 and shift was orsome, the handling model in shift 2 was pretty crap and the same with grid 2 (dont know how codemasters screwed that up).

They wanted the back to slide more to make it appeal to the casuals (a hybrid sim/arcade feel but ended up arcade only) who all want to look cool controlling their over steer. I loved the Grid model where it had some play but you still had to work to get that tail out, now it's all set-up for youtube posting "how cool am I" vids.
