So my niece turns 1 on Thursday. Anyone have any suggestions as to what to buy a 1 year old girl? I always bought these extravagant gifts for her brother but he played with them for like a few days and then it was forgotten again, so I'm trying not to overspend until she reaches an age where she can appreciate the cost :p.

It's true, kids love noisy toys because secretly they know how much it annoys their parents. Never underestimate the sheer diabolicalness of a one year old.

I've apparently been giving terrible gift advice as of late.
