Our power came back on only about a half an hour ago. I really hope they don't do another spell of load shedding. There was actual cheer from the other people in my complex when the power came back on
 
I wonder how the load shedding will be tomorrow.

Good news though is that I'm really loving Terarria! It's much more addictive than what I thought it would be.

Unfortunately now though it's time for bed. Sweet dreams peoples.

This load shedding is a nightmare. All our shops are affected by it and its not good for the routers!

My GF mentioned something about it going on until end April? Don't know how much truth there is to it. Maybe she got her facts wrong.
 
I mean are they so fucking stupid they decided not to cover the coal? Fucking idiots run this country :mad:

They don't need to. This wet coal story is BS according to my boss. He did his training at Eskom when they still cared about producing power. He says it doesn't matter if the coal is wet because they put it into the mill to dry and be ground up onto powder anyway.

I wish. Medupi is coming online somewhere end 2014...if things go well (:rolleyes:).

Between now and then we've got a winter - with everyone breaking out their electric heaters. If there is a 3.5GW shortfall now already then you can bet there will be much more to follow.

Lets just say I'm expecting many candlelight dinners this year & hence me scheming.

Crap, so if they are shedding now during summer/autumn, then we are guaranteed to be in Shit when winter rolls around :(

Pretty much yeah.

They are still in stage2 phase since yesterday afternoon. Wonder if it will be come stage3 again this morning when the industrial areas of SA starts up between 8 and 9am
