I have no idea how much these cost, but you get lights that look like these:

You can get them at most hardware stores and two should do the trick. Just hide the extension so that nobody trips over it.

Howzit everyone, damn water pipe burst in my ceiling. Plumbers are coming round later to change it. At least the insurance will probably cover getting the ceiling replaced.
