All my saved games, everything that was on my C drive... gone. Damn virus. Couldn't even attempt to backup anything on my HDD because it propagated itself in absolutely EVERYTHING and nothing I tried could get rid of it and my PC was running like a frozen slug.

Oddly, it seems to have contained itself to the C drive. I formatted and reinstalled Win7, then installed Norton and Norton picks up the rest of the drives as clean. Still, damn annoying. Now to reinstall all drivers and other necessary applications. :(
 
I want to actually format my C: Drive. As soon as I can find a ribbon cable that has 3 connection points.

1 for HDD
1 for DVD Drive (that was used on Noah's Ark, so it barely works anymore)
1 (obviously) to attach to the mobo.

Well, my antivirus expired last month and I never got around to renewing it, so, yeah. I kinda deserved it.

BUT I DID NOT DESERVE WHAT HAPPENED AFTER. The damn virus was so stubborn that literally the only way to get rid of it was to format everything. Every. Thing. Including my 1tb HDD that contained around 930gb of movies, series, Steam games, applications, music, etc.

Fuck you virus creators. From the deepest, darkest, most foul pit in my heart. Fuck. You.

I feel you, brother. That is a kak thing to happen. Lose everything. All data.

I thought losing 500GBs worth of years-spent obtaining was bad... Yours is much worse.

On a side note:

Why didn't you then download a free anti-virus to protect your stuff in the meantime?
I use avast!, and it has sufficed well. Even still it does its job.

have you tried to recover some of the data?

Graal, that is kak dude. I am very finicky about virus protection, lost a HDD myself once because of it. On a side note, if you are paying for anti-virus, have you looked at ESET Nod32? I find Norton to be a little intrusive and it slows my PC down. When I uninstalled it, my PC sped up again.

Eks darem so 2.5 chapters in 5/5 vakke. Moet vandag nog n assignment ingee. Maar ek moet ook se die laaste week of so het dit baie stadig gegaan.
 
Yea ek ken dai gevoel, ek moet ook maar ja het nie die get up and go nie. Ek wonder of ek nie dalk minder vakke moet neem volgende semester nie. 5 is baie met die hoeveelheid werk.
 
Ja, ek gaan ook hou by 5. Dit gaan party dae maar so bietjie woes as ek lui raak om te leer, maar ag wat. Hoe gouer ek my graad vang hoe beter.

Wel 4de actually maar ek tel nie die MSCE stuff nie. Ek sal maar nog sien. Ek love net die feit dat meeste van my vakke het nou eers study plans en wys nou eers watter hoofstukke ons moet doen.

As ek by 5 per semester hou, is ek volgende jaar Junie klaar met my graad.
