Be that as it way I think, like the with PS3 and Xbox 360 the clincher will come down to how easy/hard it is for the devs to developer for the individual platforms. On Paper the PS3 is suppose to be the better console yet through out its life cycle we've seen instances *cough* Fallout Vegas *cought* Black Ops *cought that ran worse on the PS3 due to the difficulty in developing for the platform.
IMHO Unless the PS4 can make some serious strides in its Online service and dashboard interface the PS4 is going to suffer for it. MS has built the one around interconnectivity, MP etc. It may not mean much to people who dont have access to services like Netflix etc but the idea of plugging you Sky/BT/Virgin Media box into the One and using it as your go-to Media device is very alluring for those of us with the internet connection to use it and the services being regionally enabled for us.
whats worrying about the nextbox is its running 3 (friggin operating systems) how much system ram and cores is it going to take for those 3 to communicate smoothly and instant switching usually means keeping the open stuff in memory, so how much will actually be available for games
