The I20 goes for about R140 000 but it has everything(central lockign electric windows blutoothmp3 cd palyer etc etc etc ) and its slightly more powerful then the vivo

Vivo shows 55KW@5000. i20 74KW@5500.

but you are probably only looking at new cars.

believe me audi's are not that expensive to maintain, most of the parts are vw parts anyway.

You see unfortunately I can't budget for a high priced car like that, I'm not gonna pay more than 2700 if I get the vivo.
 
Syco - we have a Ford Bantam, we actually got exicted when the service plan ended and could take the car some place else - there was always extra crap that supposedly needed fixing and that they wanted to charge extra for.

And we always had issues with every second service, take the car in at 8am, get told we can pick it up by 3pm, then get phone calls to say no make it the next morning or afternoon. For a general service that was crap. And the bakkie is mainly used to drive into town and out again, and once a month we use it to throw away garden rubbish - so it was never heavily used or loaded. But they always found some major issue - so before we took the car in for a service we would check it out ourselves first just to make sure.

Another friend had paint issues with her ford - the paint was peeling off - she got it brand new 6 months before, they told her it was her fault even though the car was parked in a garage at night. So they refused to repair it.

Ah but here's the thing my Step dad is a Renault, Ford, Toyota and BMW registered Mechanic so I don't have to go directly to a ford dealer, as long as I stay within the service agreement I should be good.

Only against competition rules, which these one post wonders obviously don't read.

I do have a question about bringing old threads back: what if you legitimately have something to post about a thread that is a year or so old? I know many people will say 'create a new one', but then you'll potentially just duplicate something that could have been handled in a single thread. On other forums that I frequent, they encourage that old treads rather be brought back instead of creating a new one, in cases where the topics overlap.

Well when they start posting randomly without adding something worth while and apologizing for doing a necro, it becomes regarded as spam. :)

I agree with using old threads if you have something relevant to add, or if there are new developments which adds to an old discussion. This guy is clearly not even paying attention though, just trying to get to 20 posts
