btw that white opel corsa that you mentioned on gumtree, the diesel one, nearly 250 000km.
It is being sold by a dealer who said he wouldn't recommend a diesel that is more than 5 years old as they are more expensive to maintain then the petrol counterparts.
So it looks as though diesel is off the menu as we can't afford a car that is newer than probably 7 years or so, 50k budget and all.

Trust me A diesel with 250k is far less maintenance than a petrol with 250k..... I think that dude is smoking his socks if he told you that. I have an Isuzu Diesel Bakkie with 350k km and there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. Its 10 years old and all I ever did was service once a year and change the batt every 2-3 years.

Wantitall only has the email that I get the spam on. Not that I'm accusing them. Just sayin'...

Its an Audi so as far as I know parts etc are a lot more expensive then the Opel's etc

Well if he had said yes good car etc he would have gotten a sale so I think he had less to gain by saying no?
