Its an Audi so as far as I know parts etc are a lot more expensive then the Opel's etc



Well if he had said yes good car etc he would have gotten a sale so I think he had less to gain by saying no?

I Have an audi and parts are not that expensive, most of the parts in it are vw parts, last year i replaced my radiator and it worked out R650 for a brand new one. only expensive part on my car is the gearbox "its one of those auto thingies" and audi wanted R50k to replace it, i bought a second hand part and had it fixed for less than 5k.

That is the part that scares me, what if I can not get hold of a second hand part and the only option is a new part. The car would be a write off because it needed a part.
 
nope, I am a true southerner lol
barely as in probably a grand or so. budget really is between 40 and 50.
that is tight... if you take Citi Golfs out of the equation you're basically just left with Corsa's and a bunch of others you don't want to buy (renault, citroen, tata, etc)
