Nice pickup there :)

As in when the noobs join it's a straight forward process of entering now, it doesn't take rock science to enter as it seems it has been in the past....

I don't know man, I think it's a give and take situation. Newbs could still get in on comps with the old system (where the entry point was an arbitrary number of posts), the pool was also larger, which probably meant the number of newbs in comps was a lot more vs this sort of comp regulation... Fair enough, a newb can still get in, but it seems more stringent since it isn't a just number of posts (I could make 20 non spam posts and leave it at that and qualify). Sure, the new system is privy to abuse, but I don't think either system really beats the other in terms of its entry requirements.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's going to be a lot harder for somebody that doesn't contribute to the forum to win now.

Yeh but in order to connect to the ISP you need a router (Modem)... It's a Layer 3 device that allows for outside connectivity lol... Without one of those a proxy is pretty useless, unless you're running 90km of cable directly to the ISP which I doubt since that would cost you about R4,500,000 :p

Close. Just drop the price a tad, rip out the cables, install a wifi network that covers most of the North Eastern Freestate and Robert is your father's brother :D

I just wonder how much contribution is required, I agree that the new rules promote contribution and that is a good thing, but maybe they could increase the number that qualify, so one does not have to be on permanently, or even (and i'm not too sure how it works) but what about qualifying if you reach 100% activity for the week, so not so much the highest contributors, but at least active members get a chance. I feel sorry for number 26, cause next time that will be me

just a thought
