They aren't in the know-how about these things. Most of them prefer anime above games - an couldn't really give a damn about what these apps are and what their purposes are.

Unfamiliar.
2 out of the 5 friends that I have will have PCs, and usually those 2 will want to know.
Sometimes people ask just out of plain curiosity.
