So now I have a new Telskum tech here and she says the line has not been touched, it's still the old corroded one ........ so literally, the fucker last week supposedly got the cable guys in and sent me that SMS saying that the cable has been replaced and fault resolved was talking right out of his fucking arse.

Ye dude, this unfortunately is the problem with Telkom they keep doing this cause your problem is a lot of work and effort to solve so they resolve the ticket so another techie has to do the job and it might be bouncing around like that for a few times before you get it fixed.
