I figured, especially considering how much of Koontz's work you read :D

EDIT: I'm going for post-apocalyptic Sci-fi

I like his style - he has a penchant for over explaining things though. I sort of cut to the chase which could be a good or bad thing.

i have read one or 2 koontz books when i still read he wasnt bad bordered a bit to far on the romance side some times for my liking but i still enjoyed one the ones i did read

His older stuff is straight thriller horror and good for a quick read, his later stuff has been much more chill.

I read the phantoms i think thats what it was called, and one where the protagonist worked at a carnival and the ability to see the creatures hidden as humans
 
I've been playing around with an idea for a book but just can't figure out where to start... or end for that matter

His has a very odd (pun not intended), yet gripping style of writing. The 1st book of his that I read was Cold Fire, followed The Funhouse, Your Heart Belongs to me, and Velocity... Great books all round
