Sure, it's a really good price, so I'm letting people know who are having babies soon.

Oh ya those little bastards. That's going to suck. So far we have some CD's of nursery rhymes and lullabies, and I sometimes find nursery rhymes on YouTube that I put on the TV for the kid to look at while we're getting ready for the day

Those nursery rhymes really get stuck in your head. I'll often have something like the wheels on the bus going through my head all day.
Then you get dodgy ass ones like Goosey Goosey Gander, which teach children to be intolerant and violent to people of different religious beliefs. Never mind GTA

I have a friend that relies almost exclusively on Youtube for TV shows for his kids. Mostly cartoons like Looney Toons, Mickey Mouse, Roadrunner etc. while mine uses mostly Netflix.
I wonder if our kids will ever know the joy of sitting in front of the telly and waiting in anticipation for a program to start. And then the deep unhappiness that you need to wait a whole week for the next episode.

True hey, and they have 24 hour cartoon network, Disney channel, Nickelodeon, etc.
I remember waiting all day for open time, so I could watch Bravestar or something, and after that I'd get kicked off the TV so my gran could watch Loving

I used to watch TV no matter what was on, always waiting for something that I actually wanted to watch. Totally over that now, I haven't watched TV in years.

I'm not particularly fond of tv myself, although there are a few shows that are worth watching, I only watch tv with my wife, but if she falls asleep, the show goes off, and the xbox or ps3 goes on.
In general though, I'll read a book rather than watch tv any day

Hmmm...that's interesting. My girlfriend doesn't stay awake for very long either when she's in front of a TV. I can glare at a screen for hours.
