That's probably a programmed remote... Sometimes remotes either bug out and die or they just need to all be reprogrammed, the only thing is you can't just do one you need to do them all.

With those remotes though you have to do the whole set since they're all programmed on the same frequency as the gate motor

I think what he means is that you don't want to open the gate and garage at the same time?

Im just glad that I wont be home this weekend. The roofers need to come back to fix the flashing and all the gutters that they broke a few months back. Then the new facia boards need to be put on, the gate needs fixing and all that always happens early 
I suspect it is the remotes giving up tho, I have to stand in the garage to open the door with the remote. The gate only opens 10cms and then refuses to work. Its just weird it was all working fine last night.
I do know there has been a load of incidents in our area where they play with the gate and garage doors to see if they can open it. We have woken up to adt ringing the doorbell to let us know the garage door is wide open at 2am. When I know it was closed = I tripple check it these days. The alarm company is coming to add sensors to the garage doors for us as well.

Let them reprogram the garage doors ours where the same as our neighbors gate so each time they open their gate our garage would open up.
