Hmmmm. Scam time:
Announce that you are going to develop a game (if you can get away with marketing it as a sequel to a much loved game, even better). Build hype with fraudulent screen shots and clips.
Open for pre-order.
Delay the release 2 or 3 times.
After a year, announce that project has been scrapped.
Return monies paid for pre-orders.
Keep interest gained from money.
