I can understand it if the noob wins and then never comes back to the forum. personally i joined because of the comp but as ive been chatting away i like to think ive found a place that i could frequent from here onwards. Whether i win or lose.

I really hope so.
But we have heard similar things in the past and then the guys just disappear until the next comp. I think what everybody means is that if a noob wins, grabs his prize and rides off into the sunset never to be heard from again. If a noob wins and sticks around, no problem.
