Thanks for the tip. I was considering that exact route as an alternative.

Sure man, you'll still sit in heavy traffic, but going the other way means the Gilloolys interchange, the Buccleuch interchange, William Nicol and Rivonia rd, which are generally all the worst traffic jams every rush hour.

how do you get that im 4 season ahead of you? there is only 1 summer a year so i have seen only 2 summers more than you

Yeah I kinda figured that as well after I posted. Seems my morning coffee was not strong enough. But after Mr44 clear explanation, I see that now as well. My bad

Glo my ek doen my bes - ek dink dis net hooikoors wat my hard klap vandag en ek hettie meds by my nie :S

Ello Wenzie - so jy hou nie meer van my nie :(

LOL Mr 44 - not all of us has that issue :P I mean Im turning 35 this year and not ashamed of it . . . Just accepted it and moved on :P
ok wag ek het dit nie heeltemal reg gestel nie ek meen net dat ek meer van mense hou wat in Feb verjaar as mense wat in ander maande verjaar

I would go around the other way on the N12 and then the N1. Go off at Malibongwe.

Oops, Matt beat me to it.

To get to Northgate, it's better to hang a left on Beyers Naude and right onto Northumberland. Malibongwe gets very backed up that time of day.

I know, I travel Malibongwe every day. As long as the traffic lights are working, Malibongwe is ok.

Yeah, I'm coming up from Heidelberg direction via the N3 and I have to get off at Malibongwe. Unless anybody knows of a better road to Hartebeespoort. Taking William Nicol, going past Diepsloot is out that time of day 'cause of all the taxis.

Beyers Naude, Malibongwe and Wil Nic all lead to Hartebeespoort. Malibongwe was had a lot of upgrading done.

Indeed I am. I'm also familiar with the rage evoked when modern devs are asked to maintain banking systems from the 80s :p

In other news, got a job offer from a consulting firm. Salary increase over current is pretty pathetic, though, so I'm gonna stick where I am for now.

Kaan and associates :D

Oh, I thought you wanted to get to Northgate. Ya, if you're heading for Harties, Malibongwe is probably your best bet. Hendrik Potgieter will be very slow and Beyers Naude goes through an informal settlement that will probably also slow you down. Malibongwe shouldn't be too bad once you're past Kya Sands, and that's at least not far from the N1.

Nah. I just mentioned Northgate because I can't spell Malibongwe and I'm used to driving that road to Harties.
