That is shocking, I can't believe they would charge such exorbitant amounts, even though it's out of bundle, still ridiculous. They deserve to loose clients at that rate.

That's one of the main reasons i left mweb 2 years ago, if you went over 100GB a month you got throttled and shaped to death, when i inquired about it they told me i was in the top 1% of high users on a 2mb combo and i was on their premium account

So i guess it was only me and my neighbor then that was using the 2mb premium accounts
 
I honestly don't know what they're thinking. At this rate, all they'll have left would be the business clientele. That is about the only worthwhile thing about their services. But as a home user, how can you afford their business packages?!

Yeah that's so true i can see an influx to isp's like afrihost, web africa and the sorts. i applied for their business package back before i left and the amount of hassle i had to go through made me give up that idea too and just switch isp's

Sadly I can't ditch Mweb, so I simply created my own account with Afrihost which I dial out to. Rest of the house is using Mweb and they seem to be fine with it.
 
Im going with Mweb, will tell you if i have any issues, im getting the 4MB uncapped.

Morning all!

I was with MWEB for several months. Had a premium 2MB package and everything was fine, except that they would shape me into oblivion once I got to about 100GB or so, and that whenever both me and my wife played something online, one of us would lag out while the other is fine. Only happened on the MWEB account though, whenever I swapped to another ISP account all would be fine. They could never explain this.
