It is for me, was sent home just after 8.
Pink eye in both eyes, sitting in waiting rooms now. May as well get it done, I've had a cough too for the past 3 weeks. I fear an infection.
 
Got a new job today! With medical aid, pension and life insurance :D. Sad to leave where I am and leave them in a bit of a mess cause there's no way they'll be able to replace me with someone that is willing to take on the workload for my salary (and the boss wants to offer even less), but time for me to move on up.

Congrats brendanvb!! They say change is as good as a holiday. It will always be sad to leave a company as you really feel as if you are leaving a hole, and most of the time you are. It's only after you've left that your boss will start to realize just how big of a gap was left.

What kinda work will you be doing now?
 
speaking of career changes, TWO of my colleagues have resigned in the past 2 days :( they were both unhappy with salary. but that means im in for a whole big world of pain soon as my workload effectively triples :(

I know the feeling man, also lost 1, 2nd one going at the end of the month. Already have a huge workload.

Cannot blame the people for leaving, we work for a stingy company.

It's an admin stock planner position at the Tekkie Town Head Office here in George (so not in one of their shops). So would be analyzing brand sales of the branches etc and ordering stock based on that in addition to a few other things. But yeah, excited about the benefits, the cooked lunches and the opportunities for further growth in the company.

Thanks! Yeah he's already saying he's going to use me leaving as a way to get our director in the UK to give the company more money and try and provide benefits to the staff that remain etc.
