also if the paint is metalic it also has an impact on your insurance. white cars tend to be less to insure but there are companies who dont care what colour the car is and dont charge extra for it

Also, when you buy a new car, if you get a colour other than white, you have to pay extra for the paint job

ja i dont get why i have to pay extra to have a colour other than white, its not as though they only have white cars and now have to go and spray it first...

I think the chemical make-up for white colour-dye is cheaper than other colours; sometimes various dyes need to be mixed together, needless to say, they're pricier.

I have a black car, it gets really really hot in the sun

Black retains heat better (many times a con) than other colours. Same goes for clothing; black shirt on a hot day can become unpleasant.

It does. Black and white vehicles are a slightly higher theft risk.

@Waco - if you get a lower premium on a white vehicle, good job. I should find the industry stats, when I have a moment to breathe.

@ Duck - I had the same issue when I bought my ST. Under 25, high performance vehicle. Clean claims history though.

My car is orange. Excuse me while I phone my broker.

Hmmmm. As expected, I can't take delivery of my Audi until my ST is repaired. I had to phone the panelbeaters and beg them to make a plan.

Just been told will be having a meeting with the MD on Monday, upon his return.

/gulp

Hope it's not in light of what happened weekend before last.

By the way, how's the data issue going. y'know, that problem you had a few weeks back.

Massive servers and backup failures. Everything was lost.

Server is back up and running the way I see fit. With backup plans in place and still getting around to setting up the offsite NAS storage/backup.

Good luck dude, at least you have things up and running again and you're making sure that something like that won't happen again, that's in your favour.

But yeah, would never have guessed that we would have had (quite literally) 3 drives fail from different sources, all in the same day. But also, whoever set up these machines in RAID0 is a farking tard!

But yeah, kinda couldn't exactly plan for it. I'm literally speechless when asked to explain, because I just can't.
