That sucks. Sad thing about doing IT stuff for people, from then on, whatever problems there are on that machine, it's all your fault.

What was wrong with them?

Granted, I own up to my mistakes (aka #FuckUps). As there was one. But then again, unless people give me specifics in the way they want things set up, I generally take a generic approach and configure them (and their software) the same way.

Needless to say, after a meeting this morning, I will now be supplying the machines with base Windows and that is all. They will load the software to whichever version they require for their testing purposes.

Beo - if they didnt tell you specifically what was needed then the issue is on their side, and I agree, set up the basics for them and that is it. Its what I do here :P And Im not even IT :p


Meh, working out old exampapers is gonna kill me!

Anyone who can find me decent studynotes for TAX2601 - principles of taxation I would appreciate it - studynoteswiki doesnt have much and I am looking for old papers and so forth. There isnt much on the myunisa site - it drives me nuts. And my google fu is weak today
 
Damn who would have known how hard it is to find a decent web control for a Gantt chart, or to create a MS Project mpp file...

I swear, things actually pick up in November and December, because everyone suddenly freaks out about the fact that there's only a month and a half left of the year, and they need to get stuff done.

So annoying.
 
Hahaha now imagine our biggest project currently is on hold because of exams at stellenbosch uni, and we start work again on 1 dec then stop by the 13th . . . . Do you know how much yelling is going on currently. Especially since the blinds and vinyl floor sheeting is still on containerships somewhere. . . .
