Well I guess you'll never get to play AC2, pity. I went back to AC1 last weekend and the slow combat killed me, AC2 had the same system.
Revelations is very skippable though since it tied up the loose ends from AC2 and brotherhood, however my fellow assassins judge you.

It also tied up loose ends from AC1 as well, don't forget that. Remember when Ezio originally killed his mentor. You go back to Sofia's memory and discharge of that weapon that the leader of the assassins accidently sets to go off (dumb chop) and you have to disarm the "bomb".
