The Watch Dog saga continues I see.
Fuck that - I haven't bought it and I still won't buy it once (if?) they decide to fix it properly.

I'm really starting to believe we're being trolled by a certain individual. Nobody can be that obtuse.

Don't buy it dude.
I've now uninstalled it and I'll forget about it. Done with Ubifuck.

Pity - I love Ubisoft games. But buying new AAA titles like I've said in the past, is a waste of money and tester of patience. Its ridiculous to the point of questioning it's legality.

i avoid family like that... could you not think of a proper excuse not to hang out with them?

Don't want to do that - it's my nephews first birthday. I'll just have to grin and bear it.

I don't think he's trolling, although I hate the idea of "it's working for me so whats the problem?" - I had many fisticuffs that way when Black Ops 1 failed to work for 3 months after I bought it.

I only buy AAA titles when the selling price drops below $30. And then I only buy on 75% or more off on sale. On the down side, I only get to play games a year or two after release, but at least I know the bugs have been fixed (and if it hasn't I can skip the game entirely), I don't need the biggest rig to max out the settings and I also save a lot of money.
This approach won't work for everybody, one needs a cynical, emotional-detachment (if that makes sense) but once you master it the rewards are huge.

I find what helps is having a huge backlog of games that I really want to play, then the new releases can wait until their price drops or they go on special. PS+ keeps throwing stuff onto my need to get round to play pile.

Same. And most of the time you don't even have to wait that long for the price to drop.

My feels on BF4 (maybe isolated, but yeah:rolleyes:)

AAA gaming has turned me into an irritable and impatient being... Me!!!

I realized how much of a gaming cynic I've become when I questioned and scrutinized the legitimacy of everything I saw from E3:rolleyes:.

It's a joke dude. And I hate to say it - but gamers as a whole are not exactly "sticking it to the man". No staying power, no solidarity.
Fuck EA and thei- - ooooh Hardline!
Activision can suck my - - Advanced Warfare! Jiss \:D/

This is a good thing, trust me. Cynicism isn't always healthy, but when it comes to people that want your money making promises it is.

Good point. We are still far away from united front. It's probably better to just look after your own interest at this stage. If enough gamers do that, the solidarity will come eventually.

Morning everyone, some serious discussion happening in here.

WTF TGIF!

Hey Roomys, Sorry I didn't get a chance to say howzit last weekend, we had to cut the Durban time short quite hectically, so we basically stopped by to say hi to my sister and them, and left that night. Missed the whole Thursday Durban day too :-(

I must say, the weather down in Uvongo is fantastic compared to Joburg at the moment.
