They seem to be more an old aged home than somewhere specifically for dementia patients, but I see it says that they have 24 hour nursing care for frail and demented patients. Their site also says they are registered as a non profit organisation, so hopefully that means they aren't too expensive. And hopefully they have space.

Not to sounds like a complete prat, and not to be taken personally by anyone!

Just thinking out loud, but dementia is where you forget things right?
So does it really matter where you stay, how they treat you, if they steal your money, etc; if you're just going to forget about it down the line?

I know it comes down to morals and civil rights etc, but like I said, just thinking out loud.

Alzheimers is what makes you forget, dementia makes you also see and hear things or loose control. people with alzheimers/dementia need special care as they dont know where they are and they keep thinking that people are trying to hurt them, so they are constantly trying to get out. also they dont sleep because they dont know that they haven slept cause the brain is all confused etc. so they need to be kept in a place where they cannot hurt themselves or others

Lighter note. Is there a way to send money to someone (from my FNB) who isn't with FNB, and to their cellphone number. In which case they would then just go to an ATM and input the details they get SMS'ed and draw the money?

I seem to recall something like that, is that eWallet ?
