Never watched it... is it any good?

Don't you guys get bored of all the drama?

Not yet. But soon, I think.
I think it adds to the series, personally.
A mixture of gore with drama.
That is the thing that gets me on most of the series season 1 is awesome and then the rest are all down hill more and more drama and less awesomeness.
Well, people are able to kinda work again, albeit with a handicap, but functional.
Now waiting on new drives and NAS devices in order to set up the servers again, from scratch. And then implement new backup procedures in the way I see fit!!!

Well considering the business has a turnover of half a million a month, data is pretty damn important.Sounds like this is going to be quite the process.

Well I have been in charge of this businesses IT, but I came into existing infrastructure. I mean for goodness sake, it was set up with RAID0 who knows why. No wonder they lost everything.Does that mean you're in charge now?

But going forward, I have posed my intentions and suggestions and the MD has given the go ahead, so yarrr.
Glad things are starting to work again. Best of luck on the server setups. I think that be will the hardest part.
Our DR (disaster recovery) plan is rather spectacular. We have two backup sites, one 50km away from the main production site and another that is about 250km away. The network from the branches is run on our own private network but we also have a VPN that can be used if needed. Switch over should theoretically be possible within an hour.
I remember joking that the secondary site is a bit redundant 'cause if a disaster strikes that takes out both the live systems and the primary DR site (50km apart), getting the branches up and running will probably not be our main concern.
