I can't believe how dreadful iTunes for Windows is. Honestly, the worst piece of software I've had the misfortune of using - particularly from an interface perspective.

iTunes f***** up my whole library once. Never returned since.

It's on purpose and I'm not being fanboi here. Apple is very subtle with their "marketing" (<- note correct use of ", Hagan). So you bought an iPhone/iPad/iPod and you want to load media. No problem, we have iTunes! But it only works properly on an iMac so maybe you should thing about that next time you buy a computer.

Marketing geniuses... Phone making geniuses? Not so sure.
 
Their iPhones are overpriced -- for what you get -- and they don't really compete with the competition.

iTunes is (counter-intuitively) going to be the best way to manage the music library and playlists for my new car (using an SDXC card). But, it's still a piece of shit, and I won't be using it for anything else. I'll be keeping the car music library and playlists separate from my actual music library (so yeah, a lot of duplication), just to make sure iTunes doesn't fuck that up.

Cool, the whole Apple setup works for me, iPhone and iPad work seamlessly together, that's all I need. Agreed iTunes is not great but with wireless updating etc it's not a big issue.
