expanding network and to stay in uniform of each other between Margate, Cape Town, Pretoria and a VPN into Germany.

Hmm I probably would need to see the size of the network and IP usage to really understand it. But yes doin it overnight wasn't the best idea. I probably would have changed the lease period of ip addresses to something short and let everyone know that when they come to the network they have to restart their machines.

well we have close on 100 employees (give or take), and probably closer to 300 devices attached to network. The parent company in Koblenz, Germany, is closer to 5,000 employees if memory serves.

and currently u are all on the same subnet range, sharing resources across branches?

Apologizes for the questions, im just really curious.

Im currently working on a site with around 80 000 users, and the crap I see here on the network is just beautiful lol.

Correct yes, though I'm sure the parent company is larger than fore-mentioned. The point is our branches in SA all share resources. The main reason for the VPN to Koblenz is for connectivity to their domain and mail servers.

Ahh ok, very interesting. Have u guys considered moving some tech to the cloud yet, like azure or aws?

The issue with Azure and AWS is data sovereignty currently. Because Azure and AWS do not have servers/datacentres locally in South Africa you cannot legally store certain types of information (email, telephone, address, age, sex, race, birth date, ethnicity, employment, financial, educational, criminal, medical history, blood type, etc) relating to an identifiable, living natural person or juristic person (companies, CC’s etc.) residing or with presence in South Africa outside the borders of South Africa without the explicit written consent of the person or entity.

exactly this... our information is highly sensitive and a lot governed by the POPI act - medical histories bills patient information etc.

OKay, One of my PC's just gave me BSOD :(

Is this generally a hardware issue? I'm scared AF for my kiddo,

Seems to only happen when Steam/Counter-Strike runs - or switching between that and Chrome. If you need any extra info lemme know. Help would be appreciated.

From Microsoft support forum
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION STOP: 0x0000003B

3b is usually a graphics driver (display adapter/video driver), other possibilities include but are not limited to antivirus/antispyware/security programs and even memory (mapping).

BCCode: 3b 0x0000003b

Cause

This error has been linked to excessive paged pool usage and may occur due to user-mode graphics drivers crossing over and passing bad data to the kernel code.

Firstly check your system files: Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click Command Prompt -> Run as administrator. Type "sfc /scannow" (no quotations) and run it. Always good to do first.

Then make sure you have latest GFX drivers. A good idea is to also install windows 7 SP1, latest drivers for chipset and sound. If its still happening after that we can dig a bit further.

Install Windows updates, I'm assuming you're running Win7 (judging by the 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1) but Win7 + SP1 is 6.1.7601 also update your drivers.

What is the difference between MSI R7 370 GAMING 4G Graphics Card and the XFX Double Dissipation R7 370 975MHZ 4GB DDR5 Display Port HDMI Dual DVI Graphics Cards R7-370P-F24M

Not the correct thread for this, but looking at the specs of the two cards, the MSI will be a bit faster (in OC Mode). The MSI one also only requires 1 additional 6pin power cable, while the XFX needs two. The MSI card is a bit bigger than the XFX one but not by much.
The current range of MSI cards also have great coolers, so it will probably run cooler than the XFX.

Needless to say, I have my hands full with shit that still needs to be changed, things that aren't working and running around like a headless chicken after last nights changes.

Well.... my PSU just blew a few minutes ago, and replaced it with and old piece of Beeeeep that I have lying around :/ Luckily nothing else got damaged. I blame Loadshedding

Load shedding is not kind to PC's. Load shedding is the reason why not only my PSU blew to pieces, but it fried my motherboard as well. Now I have to replace both CPU and mobo as I can't get the old Intel parts anymore...so check your mobo is still working.
