Morning TK

Shortstraw at live in Durban tomorrow again, last time things got a bit out of control.I did end up with a picture with the guitarist and his pick though, so that was cool.

Seems I won't be renewing my car's license today. The licensing office closes at 12:30 already, and I only get off work at 12:15, and I work too far out of town to make it back in time.
So I'll have to take an afternoon off next week sometime so I can do it.

I usually go to the post office these days, much easier than the licensing dept

ja the post office is much less painless, although you still sometimes have to wait ages.

i have to go and renew my drivers license as mine is expiring next month... so not looking forward to doing that...

Didn't know you could use the Post Office for this. I'd still rather use the licensing department in our town though, because our Post Office is really dodgy and very useless.

Our licensing department is actually quite quick, it's just that they close so early.

Ya post offices have been renewing car licences for a long time now. But I guess if your post office is more useless than your licensing dept, then might as well go to the licencing dept. This side though, I have to go to the Randburg licensing dept, which is a nightmare, but there are post offices all over the place

I didnt know you could do it at the post office, I still go to the licencing dept to sort it out. Its easier than trying to go to the post office here. Takes me 15mins to pay and get a new license.

I guess municipal services really are much better down in CT then...

There is a drive through in Bedfordview.

Mod mics - are these for sale here in SA?

Mod mic: a standalone microphone that attaches to headphones.

Matt - it depends on where you go, I found a municipality that works like a dream.

And now Autocad is pissing us off, we are plotting a plan, doing everything right but it shows the plan on the paper the size of a pin prick.

I encountered this myself back in college. Looks large on screen but comes out the size of a matchbox on an A4 sheet. Never could get it right. :/

You sure you don't have some small point or something far from your drawing and it is plotting the extents?

Crusader the chances are good. Its an old genesis drawing that is being opened in autocad lt 2009 and its not opening to scale

Working again, hope everyone else having a good weekend.

No, I'm not. But thanks anyway, I guess. I *should* be working as well. Shit load of deadlines with the possibility of a nice $ reward if all goes well, but I had to take the family shopping today for our monthly and tomorrow I'm returning The Student to her hostel in Potch.
