so ....... have someone who wants a beastly new graphics card but there's no way it can be a Radeon (what I first suggested) and it can't be over 6k. I know pretty much what he's gonna be able to get but I would hate to recommend a brand that sucks ass, so what is the most hardy/reliable brand out there at the mo?
Inno3D, Palit, Asus, MSI, XfX, BFG, Zotac, PNY, KFA2/Galax, Gainward, Gigabyte, Sparkle, Saphire, EVGA, Foxcon, Winfast and a few others that have come and past, are all the same in the end. The only difference between them is a custom cooler and a longer warranty. PCB is a different colour, it may also come factory over clocked and have Hynix or Elpida RAM Modules.
Also fate Zero was amazing again this week!

To answer the question you presented. I have used many of those brands over the years. My advice, get whatever you can afford. None of the above mentioned will give you problems.
