Yesterday,
I had received my extra 4GBs of RAM (beefing my total amount up to 8GB).
After a long struggle and troubleshooting, I deduced that one of my DIMM slots is faulty. Initially, the assumption was that the RAM sticks were incompatible, as, when their in together the system starts up (on and off every few seconds) but does not actually boot up, nor is there a signal to my TV.
How I had deduced faulty RAM, was to try both sticks in either slot, and both in the one worked perfectly fine, but both in the other - neither worked. I am so annoyed. My system can have 8GB, and I'm still stuck will 4 (knowing full-well I have more RAM).
Will be returning the board in next month for an exchange or repair. Don't think I'll be reimbursed - warranty should still be valid.
