It's not unprofessional, it's just inadvisable to terrify them all the time. If they're terrified, they don't listen properly and then we get crap info, and we have to go back and terrify them some more.

I know, it's a fine line between getting your info quickly and scaring them too much and then they make mistakes.

I've been playing around with JQuery quite a bit recently. Seems like you can do some really neat stuff with it.

Oh it's really nice, I just had one of those moments you get every now and then where a silly mistake totally baffles you.

I was trying to do

if (document.activeElement.id != <%= btnSave.ClientID%>) {

instead of

if (document.activeElement.id != "<%= btnSave.ClientID%>") {

and I couldn't figure out why <%= btnSave.ClientID%> was returning the entire html element instead of the string of just the ID that I was expecting.

EDIT: Ok, the problem was with Javascript and ASP, but it was in a JQuery function...
