You'd be surprised how relaxing it can be on a farm out in the middle of nowhere, with no electricity apart from during the evening when the generator is on.
I do suggest you take a book with though, to read if you don't want to take an afternoon nap :)
 
See the problem isn't so much the boredom.... Its the same reason I won't camp. I need more than basics to be happy [emoji14] Ek is 'n stad kind nie plaas nie. Alho I do love going to the west coast to small towns that has the basics... I tend to be the one who cooks for every onr

That's the only way I go camping.
I'm not one of those that's has the idea that camping should be rustig, no hot water, no cell phone reception, no TV, etc.

We visited some friends of my parents out in the fringes of Darling ladt night. They stay on a farm and the man is a top notch carpenter and recently started to farm pigs. His wife has a book distro. We absolutely loved it there, visiting the pig sty, playing with their adopted "duikertjie" and scouting the owls around the farm.

Well if those things are giving your insomnia then it would be good to take a break from it all.
I am also a stads japie but its great to be away for a week or so from electronics esc.

I'm not really one for camping, but I do enjoy some nice and quiet out on a farm (grew up on a farm).

Hehehe naw I know how to switch off. I just slept for 4 hours. . . . I have books to read and so forth. But then again I have always had trouble sleeping at night even as a baby. Apparently I never slept at night as a baby or a kid. So I got used to less sleep - but the last few weeks aka months I have been getting less sleep than normal. I do well on 6 hours normally but since I get 3 to 4 hours of late Im getting very moody :p
