moanings! i am suffering from twilight eyes again this morning.... so now i have to go to the doc again to see if they can give me something else to alleviate the irritation/allergy/eczema. my medical aid is going to hate me this year...
 
I feel like a phone whore....I'm running around with 3 phones, 2 tablets and my laptop.

The Samsung Galaxy 5 is my personal phone, the Nokia 930 is my work phone and the iPhone 6 is a phone i'm using for testing our MDM software. The Galaxy tab is for testing MDM as is the iPad...and yet I still use my laptop for everything.

ja tablets are over rated...i only use my to play hayday on... when i got i used it to connect it to my home pc to download stuff and to watch series at the office.....

Hmmm...is it all software development for clients? have you considered making a "retail" or "off the shelf" product? What languages do you develop in? Have you considered some other options, like professional services to assist companies with in house development teams to either streamline, migrate or harden their applications?

Yes to all the above. COTS applications take time to build and mature and we need cashflow to sustain those projects. :p

Like I said, corporates don't "trust" smaller companies and smaller companies don't have money for software. We're willing to do maintenance, migration, new develoment, pretty much anything.

We're primarily a Microsoft house, but we're well versed in Java as well. We have a VERY strong JavaScript competence and can easily move over to node.js as well. The guys learn new skills quite quickly, so we're up for challenges.

Funny enough, most of our new projects start off as professional websites with scope to grow software platforms from there. They just don't come close to paying the bills though... If I were a freelancer doing these sites I would've made a nice living.

Not sure yet eh, once they've found new offices then we can gauge.

And yeah, scary as all hell. Especially if you have a kid and the sole parent/provider.
