oh gawd.... when will people realize that I am not a machine, I don't spend my life on Facebook reading everyone's updates and sob stories, that I don't constantly update my status, and that I don't care about Facebook and your fucking engagement announcement.... PICK UP THE FUCKING PHONE AND PHONE ME!!!!

I was reminded of not wishing someone on FB, and had thus decided to hide my details so that no one could wish me. I don't need it.

The fact that my sister announced her engagement over fucking facebook warrants that I should have known about it because I was tagged in it, "I could have congratulated her!".

Never mind the fact that I don't respond to all the pathetic tags I get on facebook, not to mention a thing called common courtesy to let someone know or simply announce it at a get together. What is this world coming to! FUCK SAKES!!!

WTF - she's your sister, she should have picked up the phone and call you. The fact that people think these days that facebook announcements are all that is needed is BS.

That is the problem with social media. People are too reliant on it. Something of that nature should be done by telephone or in person. It's your sibling, not a friend. IMO.

Sometimes social media is a bitch. People seems to think that your facebook friends and communications are more valuable than the person itself. That and it always seems to be about the numbers, I can't count the number of event invites I get to parties in cape town.

Sorry, just had to kinda rant. Got a whatsapp from her today which just tipped the barrel, couldn't even bother to discuss it verbally either.

Beotek thats a reason why I removed all my detail on facebook so people could see that I don't use it and not go the router your sister has gone with social media anouncement.

Yeah..... now I'm reconsidering if I should invite them to join me and my boy tomorrow evening for his birthday. Just trying to avoid the awkwardness. Or maybe I'll tag them on facebook! -_-

I'm sure they would love to be invited via a Facebook tag to dinner :D

Damn Beo, that really does suck. I don't envy your situation, but I'd probably kick my brother's ass if he did that (luckily he isn't big on FB).

Make a post here on the forum inviting them to the birthday. If they ask why you didn't invite them, tell them you did it is right here on the forum :3
