Not to take anything away from Grand Master Schumi, but he is one of the main reasons the sport has suffered with viewership in the 2000's

The other reason is Mr Bernie Ecclestone and Max Mosley, but that might just be my opinion. As much as I enjoy watching Hamilton and Rosberg dominating I really want to see overtaking and balls to the wall racing. The sport has become to clinical.

Give the fans what they want; 3.0l V8s (or pit the V8s against some 1.5l Turbo engines again), refueling strategies, poor tyre choices, spectacular crashes and fierce on/off track rivalries by drivers with big personalities and even bigger egos.

Agreed. I want to see much of what happened at Hockenheim last year. That race kept on the edge of my seat.

That was probably my most enjoyable race of the 2014 season?

Thats true. The fan base hasn't died down too badly, i mean my father still watches every now and then, to me it just doesnt seem as exciting as it used to...

I used to be a huge Mclaren fanatic - until lewis joined the team. I even have memorabilia from their Kimi days :D
I suspect Kimi was feeling MEH about that kak ferrari that they gave him to drive, I can only hope that it is a better car this year. As for Vettel, I started watching him as he started his F1 debut in 2006 as a test driver. So I will support him even if he is in a red car. Same for Kimi. I have a soft spot for Kimi and always will. I was a huge redbull fan but with newey stepping down and smiley on the team I just cannot support them. I honestly don't know how I feel about this season. I am going to give the F1 a chance but I am very jaded towards the FIA currently as well.

Thanks for the coffee Donsie!

At least the Jonkershoek fire is almost under control - http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/80-of-Jonkershoek-fire-contained-20150312

Won't get into the F1 argument now otherwise i won't sleep today :p but i hat both Hamilton and Shumi, Senna is was and will always be the best in my books. Point

Wyvern, you also have much hate for #Hamilton ?

You have no idea how much I hate the guy, his attitutde and his general disregard for others drives me insane. I do love Rosberg tho so I am hoping he will be able to put lewis in his place.

I cannot tell you on a public forum what we call lewis at home. For me the haircuts, the dog at the track and freaken huge diamonds on his ears. I still don't know how he drives with those, it must hurt like hell!

Was watching some live swatting on YT.

Imagine being swatted and holding this:

:wtf:

Don't Consider him great i consider him avg someone like Vetel is a great driver and i think Ricardo can be too and give Rosberg the free roam Hamilton had and watch what he can do :p

Ok off to bed

hamilton is trying to be too much of a rockstar with his bling and tattoos etc, i like kimi he and alonso are probably the most concentrated pure drivers on the track, Alonso is without a doubt the best driver in F1 atm, he can take a weak inferior car and put it on the podium, vettel reminds me of damon hill he's only good in a good car, last season riciardo proved that when he pushed the less performing red bull much better than vettel.
